By Sioux Falls Skyforce Staff /March 22, 2024

Sioux Falls, SD – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced that the team will wear specialty jerseys for the third time in the 2023-24 season, this time partnering with South Dakota Urban Indian Health.

Sioux Falls will wear the specially crafted uniforms sponsored by Fort Randall Casino in their matchup with the Stockton Kings on Saturday, March 30th at 7 PM CST.

The Tatanka (Buffalo) is the caretaker of the Oceti Sakowin aka the Great Sioux Nation. The tipi was made from buffalo hides. The tipi symbolizes the values of a home and the connection between heaven and earth. The Native Nation always utilize the 4 colors which symbolize the 4 directions and the 4 races of man. The Canupa (Pipe) is the blood of our people. It is said to believe during the great flood the relatives of the Oceti Sakowin were in that area and as it flooded their bodies went back into Mother Earth. From that was created the red stone which is the blood of the Oceti Sakowin people, the Great Sioux Nation.

The jersey auction goes live on Friday, March 22nd at 12 PM CST and concludes on Saturday, March 30th at 9 PM CST. These jerseys can be bid on through the DASH app or by visiting sfskyforce.com/winwithDASH

Tickets to see these beautiful jerseys live and in action can be purchased through Ticketmaster, at the Skyforce office on Minnesota Ave, via phone at 605-332-0605 or at the Pentagon Box office on gameday (pending availability).
