By Sioux Falls Skyforce Staff /June 22, 2022

The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the organization will host a youth basketball camp on August 9 at the Sanford Pentagon. The camp will be led by Skyforce Head Coach Kasib Powell, members of his coaching staff, and staff from the Sanford POWER Basketball Academy.

“We are excited to do something for the kids in the community of Sioux Falls,” Powell said of the camp. “We look forward to giving knowledge of the game and sharing that with the kids. Most of all, we are looking to have fun and connect with the community. It’s been a while since we have been able to do put on a youth camp and we are thrilled to get back on the court with the youth.”

The camp emphasis will be for attendees to enjoy the game of basketball by increasing their skills and fundamentals, while learning from experienced instructors who have played and coached the game at various levels. During each session, campers will focus on dribbling, passing, shooting and defense.

Session one will be for ages 6-10 and will run from 9-11AM, followed by session two, which is for ages 11-and-up and will run from 2-4PM. Each attendee will receive a camp t-shirt and drawstring bag, as well.

The cost is $25 per camper and registration is online at https://bit.ly/3zXOUo1. The deadline to register is July 20.
