Skyforce Acquires Returning Player Rights to Simi Shittu

The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired the returning player rights to center Simi Shittu from the Iowa Wolves.
Shittu, a 6-10, 240-pound center out of Vanderbilt went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft and has played parts of three seasons in the NBA G League, where he’s averaged 12.3 points on 56.1 percent shooting, 7.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per 21.2 minutes in 71 games (33 starts) for the Windy City Bulls, Westchester Knicks, Osceola Magic and Iowa Wolves.
He posted a career-high 14.5 points on 55.6 percent shooting, 10.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per 26.7 minutes in 13 games (10 starts) for the Knicks in 2020-21.
Shittu spent one season at Vanderbilt in 2018-19, where he averaged 10.9 points on 46.8 percent shooting, 6.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per 26.7 minutes in 32 games (31 starts).
The Skyforce sent the 25th overall pick in this weekend’s NBA G League draft to the Wolves to complete the transaction.
