Skyforce Acquires Player Rights to Trevion Williams

Sioux Falls, SD – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced the team has acquired the NBA G League player rights to Trevion Williams and a 2024 NBA G League first round draft pick (via Memphis) from the Capital City Go-Go in exchange for the player rights to RJ Hampton.

Williams, a 6-9 265-pound center out of Purdue went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft. He appeared in 130 games (60 starts) for the Boilermakers from 2018-22 and averaged 10.9 points on 53.1 percent shooting, 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.5 blocks per 18.9 minutes a game. He earned All-Big Ten First Team (Coaches) in 2021 and 2022, while also being named to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team in 2022, as well as the Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year (2022), as well.

He spent the 2022-23 season in the NBA G League, where he averaged 8.3 points on 56.3 percent shooting, 8.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.3 blocks per 19.1 minutes a game in 29 total appearances (five starts) between the Santa Cruz Warriors and Capital City Go-Go.

Williams is currently overseas playing for Ratiopharm Ulm of the German BBL and in 39 appearances (38 starts) is averaging 14.1 points on 54.5 percent shooting, 9.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks per 26.0 minutes a game.
