The Sioux Falls Skyforce embarks on a four-game, eight-day road trip starting today in Mexico City, for their first trip to face the Capitanes in franchise history.
The Force went 2-2 on their four-game homestand, which was highlighted by Saturday's 124-111 victory over the Memphis Hustle from Heritage Court.
Three players scored 20+ points, led by ManMan Williams with 27 on 9-11 FGA (5-7 3PA) and a season-high 10 assists. Malik Williams added 25 points and nine rebounds, while HEAT assignee Keshad Johnson had 23 points on 10-13 FGA, seven rebounds, five assists and a +22 +/-. Sioux Falls is 13-2 in the last 15 games Johnson has played with the team.
The Capitanes come into the contest with the Skyforce on a two-game losing streak after starting the regular season 6-2. They were defeated by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Saturday on the road, as David Jones had 29 points off the bench. He leads the team in scoring with 19.6 points per game.
The team also features former Skyforce player Davon Reed, who's averaging 14.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists so far in the regular season.
The Capitanes are 5-3 at home in the regular season and are holding teams to just 101.8 points per game (third best in the NBA GL) on 40.6 percent shooting (fourth best) and 28.3 percent from deep (second best) at Arena CDMX.
Both teams meet again on Wednesday, while the Skyforce will head to Texas to take on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers on Friday evening, with tip-off slated for 7:00 PM CST from Bert Ogden Arena.
