Carter Mix /April 2, 2026

This ten-part series takes an extensive look at Skyforce players throughout the 2025-26 season, highlighting season and career highs as well as the unique impact each player made on the court. First up, we discuss center Dain Dainja.

Dain Dainja was allocated to the Skyforce on October 17, 2025, and wasted no time establishing himself as one of the premier big men in the NBA G League. The rookie center out of Memphis averaged 14.3 points on an efficient 63.3 percent shooting, along with 6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in just 22.5 minutes per game across 36 regular season appearances.

Dainja’s impact went beyond the box score, as he recorded eight double-doubles on the season—second on the team, trailing only Miami HEAT two-way guard Jahmir Young’s 10. His consistent presence in the paint and ability to control the glass quickly made him a reliable force in the Skyforce frontcourt.

His breakout performance came on February 1, 2026, against the Texas Legends, where Dainja poured in 35 points—the most he has scored in his professional career—on a career-high 14 field goals made.

In addition to his scoring, Dainja had career nights in both rebounds and assists, securing 12 rebounds (eight on the offensive glass) and dishing out five assists, both personal bests. His dominance on the boards and ability to create opportunities for teammates highlighted the all-around nature of his game and helped lead the Skyforce to a 125-109 victory over Texas.
