One Minute with Alondes "ManMan" Williams

Alondes “ManMan” Williams provides a spark to the Force each and every time he steps on the court with highlight dunks, passes and handles. His high-energy personality and play not only uplifts his teammates, but creates an undeniable buzz in the arena. ManMan averaged 18 PTS, 6.6 AST, 5 REB and 1.5 STL during the Showcase Cup with the Force, including a 42-point night in Motor City against the Cruise.

Alondes was named ACC Player of the Year for Wake Forest in his senior season in 2022 before signing a two-way contract with the Brooklyn Nets. ManMan appeared in one game with the Brooklyn Nets last season and averaged 13.5 PTS, 4.7 REB and 2.9 AST with the Long Island Nets in the G League Regular Season. Alondes came to Sioux Falls in a trade with the Nets on July 24th, 2023 and has started for the Force in 19 of 20 games since. 

We asked ManMan a few questions to get to know a little more about who he is off the court.

Favorite Athlete?
Lebron James. 

Best talent outside of basketball?
I’m a gymnastics person. I like to flip. Oh, and I can play soccer. 

Favorite pair of basketball shoes you’ve owned?
The Kyries, they got some hearts around em and they were gifted to me by Kyrie.

Favorite music?
Hip hop but I like R&B too.

Favorite food?
Pizza.

Favorite thing about Sioux Falls?
It’s a great community out here, everybody’s so nice.

Favorite off-day activity?
Calling my mom or my brother or some friends and making them laugh and smile or just playing the game and listening to music.

Favorite TV show or movie?
All the Power series.

If you weren't playing basketball what do you think you’d be doing?
Football, baseball, soccer, something else athletic.

Funniest teammate you’ve had?
Kyrie

Why do you wear #31?
It’s for my Grandma. She died March 1st so I put the 3/1 together to make 31.

Favorite game you’ve played in?
I’d probably say when I was at Wake Forest playing at the Charlotte Hornets arena against Charlotte. I think I had 30 something. But recently, playing against Motor City when I had 42.
