SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired Harry Rafferty and has re-acquired Gerard Tarin from the available player pool. Rafferty and Tarin will take available roster spots left by Charles Cooke III (USA Basketball) and Connor Burchfield (waived).
Rafferty, a 6-0, 180-pound guard out of Wesleyan University joins the Skyforce after playing four seasons at the NCAA Division III level. In 103 career games (77 starts) Rafferty averaged 11.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 26.3 minutes per game. Rafferty currently owns the Wesleyan University school record for all-time three-pointers made, having tallied 194 made threes in his career. As a senior, Rafferty knocked down 66 of his 194 three-pointers while averaging a career-high 13.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
Tarin, a 6-9, 215-pound forward out of Nova Southeastern, rejoins the Skyforce after having appeared in 14 games for Sioux Falls previously this season. Tarin averages 2.8 points and 2.8 rebounds in 6.7 minutes per game for the Skyforce and posted a career-high nine points and added six rebounds in a win over the South Bay Lakers on November 23, 2018 of this season.
Rafferty will wear No. 7 and Tarin will continue to wear No. 8 for Sioux Falls. Both will be available for the Skyforce when the team travels east to take on the Long Island Nets on Thursday, February 21 at 6:00PM CT.
