SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired guard Daryl Macon via returning player rights. Macon had previously appeared in 17 games (15 starts) for the Skyforce while under two-way contract this season.
Macon has led the Skyforce with averages of 19.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. He has led the team in scoring seven times and has led the team in assists on nine occasions.
Most recently, Macon has tallied back-to-back 20-point outings as part of Sioux Falls’ second unit coming off the bench. In his last appearance, Macon notched 23 points, eight rebounds and a pair of assists in a victory over the Stockton Kings on January 5, 2020.
Macon, a 6-3, 185-pound guard out of the University of Arkansas is amid his second professional season, having spent time under NBA two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks as a rookie before signing a similar two-way deal with the HEAT to start this season.
Macon will continue to wear No. 3 for the Skyforce and will be available for Friday and Saturday’s back-to-back against the Northern Arizona Suns in Prescott Valley, AZ.
