SIOUX FALLS, SD – The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced today that the team has acquired forward Gerard Tarin from the available player pool. Guard Austin Chatman was waived in completing the transaction.

Tarin, who made Sioux Falls’ opening day roster as a tryout player, has appeared in seven games for the Skyforce this season averaging 3.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 8.0 minutes played per game. Tarin was previously waived by the Skyforce on December 8, 2018.

Prior to his professional career, Tarin averaged 10.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game as a senior at NCAA Division II Nova Southeastern. In total, Tarin appeared in 40 games (38 starts) as a junior and senior at Nova after transferring from Salem International where he spent the first two years of his collegiate career.

Tarin will again wear No. 8 for the Skyforce, and will be available for tonight’s home game against the Austin Spurs at 6:30PM at the Sanford Pentagon.
