SIOUX FALLS, SD – The NBA G League announced today that Miami HEAT two-way players Yante Maten and Duncan Robinson have been named to the Mid-season All-NBA G League Western Conference Team.
Robinson has appeared in 30 games (30 starts) for the Skyforce this season and leads the NBA G League with 138 three-pointers made on the year. While shooting at a 48.4 percent clip from three-point range, Robinson has now scored at least 20 points in eight-straight contests to lead the way offensively for Sioux Falls. Robinson’s 138 made three-pointers are just six shy of the single-season franchise record of 144 that was set just last season by Ike Nwamu. Robinson’s first-half of the season was highlighted by a career-high 32-point performance against the Agua Caliente Clippers in which he notched a career-high 10 made three-pointers.
Maten has appeared in 21 games (21 starts) this season for Sioux Falls and has averaged a team-leading 26.4 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game. Maten was named the NBA G League’s Player of the Month for games played in December after averaging 29.2 points and 11.1 rebounds while shooting 58.2 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from three-point range in nine games. Maten’s mid-season highlights include a career-high 42-point, 14-rebound performance in a win over the Stockton Kings as well as a 31-point, 20-rebound performance against the South Bay Lakers.
In total, the Miami HEAT two-way tandem is averaging a combined 47.1 points per game while scoring in double-figures in all 51 of their combined performances. Robinson and Maten have also combined for 34 outings of 20-or-more points and have scored at least 30 points on 10 occasions.
Sioux Falls is currently enjoying an extended all-star break, next playing on Thursday, February 21 against the Long Island Nets. The Force’s next home game will come on Tuesday, February 26 against the Windy City Bulls, a game that was originally scheduled for Saturday, January 19 but was rescheduled due to weather.
