Game Preview: Skyforce vs Wisconsin

Both teams meet for the final time tonight, after the Skyforce thumped the Herd 142-96 on Sunday afternoon at the Sanford Pentagon.  

The winner of the game continues to be in the thick of the Showcase Cup Tournament portion of the G League Winter Showcase in Las Vegas in two weeks.  

The team had the most assists (40) and points (142) in the Kasib Powell era and the third most assists in franchise history on Sunday. Five players, led by Miami HEAT assignee Nikola Jović (eight assists) had four-plus assists, which is a season high.   Sioux Falls also had the most points in the paint this season, as well (72 points on 36-53 FGA). The Force, who won the rebounding battle 54-39, move to 3-2 this season when they out-rebound the opponent.   Orlando Robinson added 27 points and 19 rebounds, both career highs to lead Sioux Falls. HEAT two-way player Dru Smith added 26 points on 10-13 FGA, six assists and four rebounds in the victory.   Mychal Mulder continued to climb the franchise record books, shooting 2-6 3PA (17 points off the bench), which moved him to third place all-time in three pointers made.  

With both two-way players with the Bucks, Wisconsin leaned on Rob Edwards (30 points on 9-17 FGA and seven rebounds) in 39:00 minutes of work on Sunday. Lindell Wigginton added 16 points on 7-16 FGA to lead the Herd off the bench.  

The Skyforce, who look to win their fourth-straight home game tonight, will host the Motor City Cruise on Friday and Saturday in a back-to-back. Wisconsin will host the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on 12/14/22.
