Winners of four of the last five and over .500 for just the second time since the beginning of last season, the Sioux Falls Skyforce comes into the game against the Wisconsin Herd with an opportunity to make a push for the Showcase Cup Tournament next month in Las Vegas, NV. 

In order to do that, the six-day, three-game road trip ahead looms important, with games against the Herd (4-5), and a back-to-back against the Cleveland Charge (5-1) next week. Sioux Falls sits just 1.5 games back of making its first appearance in the Showcase Cup Tournament portion of the G League Winter Showcase. 

The Skyforce (4-3) comes off a 102-93 victory over the Grand Rapids Gold on Wednesday. Chandler Hutchison led the team with 23 points on 8-17 FGA and 11 rebounds. It is his first double-double of the season. Mychal Mulder added 21 points on 5-8 3PA in the victory. 

A trip to Oshkosh, Wisconsin is the first since 12/15/17, when the Herd defeated the Force 117-108. It marks the first time the two teams will play since 11/10/18, when Sioux Falls defeated Wisconsin 123-105 at the Sanford Pentagon. 

Following the game with the Gold, Sioux Falls hits the road on Friday for a six-day road trip, headlined by a game in Wisconsin to face the Herd and Cleveland to play the Charge. 

Containing the Herd's well-balanced attack will be crucial, as they have five players that average 15-plus points per game. AJ Green leads the team with 19.7 points per game. 

A victory would mean a 5-0 start against Eastern Conference teams to start this season. The Force travels east on Sunday for a back-to-back in Cleveland with the Charge on Tuesday and Wednesday.
