#1) The Skyforce made a franchise record 25 three-pointers in a 127-118 win over the Oklahoma City Blue on Friday, February 2 at the Sanford Pentagon. In total, the team shot 54.0 percent from the field, 50.0 percent from beyond the arc and 100.0 percent from the free throw line.

All eight players who saw the floor that night scored at least nine points, led by a career-high 41 points from Miami HEAT two-way player Derrick Walton Jr. while making a career-high nine threes in the game. He was joined by Larry Drew II and Ike Nwamu who combined for 11 more from long distance in the game.

 

#2) On December 8, 2017 the Sioux Falls Skyforce set a franchise record with 42 assists in a 139-135 overtime loss to the South Bay Lakers on the road. Despite the loss, the Force exceeded the previous franchise mark of 41 assists in a single game which had been set on multiple occasions, most recently during the 2014-15 season.

Larry Drew II led the way with 19 points and 14 assists in the game, accompanied by a 32-point, 10-assist double-double from Tony Mitchell. Torrey Craig pitched in 29 points and 8 assists, while AJ Hammons set a career-high with four assists in 19 minutes off the bench.

 

#3) On January 5, 2018 the Skyforce found themselves trailing by as many as 17 points on the road to the Iowa Wolves before rattling off 51 points in the third quarter alone, and 83 total in the second half to run away with a 128-103 victory.

The second-half effort narrowly missed multiple franchise records, coming within two points of the franchise-high 53 points in a single quarter set back on February 25, 1995. The team also came within one point of the franchise record for most points in a single half (84) which was set on December 13, 1994. Both records have stood for over 20 years, but were in danger of falling in what ended up being a blowout win for Sioux Falls.

#4)  The Skyforce shot a season-best 58.8 percent from the field and scored a season-high 147 points on January 27, 2018 in a 14-point road victory over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. The effort came just 11 points shy of the franchise record of 158 points scored in a single game set on December 13, 1994.

Ike Nwamu led the way with a career-high 37 points on a career-high nine made three-pointers, accompanied by Kadeem Jack and Tony Mitchell who combined to score 52 points off the bench. Jack made 13-of-15 field goal attempts in the game, shooting a team-high 86.7 percent from the field in the win.

 

#5) In what was the team’s final game of the 2017-18 season, the Skyforce posted a season-high 84 points in the paint in a 141-137 overtime loss to the Northern Arizona Suns on the road.

After relying on the three-point shot for the majority of the season, the Force decided to attack the basket in their final contest. In total, 47 of the team’s 57 made field goals came inside the arc as Sioux Falls shot 51.4 percent in the game. Ike Nwamu led the way with a team-high 32 points, while Kadeem Jack followed with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Bubu Palo also posted a season-high 25 points while Alonzo Gee rounded his year out with a 24-point, 11-rebound double-double.
