One of the Raptors’ best young players is guard Norman Powell, who is now in his second season with the Raptors and has averaged 8.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game, coming alive in the recent absence of Kyle Lowry.

During the 2012-13 season, Powell was a sophomore at UCLA. One of Powell’s more notable teammates that season was current Skyforce guard Larry Drew II, who was a senior that year and started in all 35 contests for the Bruins.

The Raptors have called up just one player from the Skyforce in franchise history: Bob McCann during the 1997-98 season. McCann appeared in just one game for the Raptors during his call-up.
